Get more back on your original outlay on the clothes you no longer need by sending them to us in return for SwapPoints.  You can then use your SwapPoints to select as many items as and when you need them.  Any size, up to size 5 or sex.  No price tagged in sight!

Once you have joined, the only thing you pay for is postage and a small handling fee of $8.00 on outbound orders only.  Postage is much cheaper than you may think plus you will feel better knowing that swapkidsclothes.com.au DO NOT profit from postage.

We accept PayPal and visa or mastercard via our secure payment gateway.

Is Postage Expensive? Answer: It's much cheaper than you think!

A good example is Vanessa, a member from Melbourne who ordered 36 items (size 2 and 4), with the majority of the order being pants, jeans, jumpers and long sleeve tees.  It only cost $15.75 to send these items from our facility in Brisbane to Melbourne!!

We at swapkidsclothes.com.au feel very strongly about NOT profiting from postage costs charged to our members!!  This means you pay the exact amount you should pay as it is automatically calculated for you based on your post code, the items weight & size.

The following Table uses the current Australia Post pricing based on average weights of 50 items across a selection of sizes each metro cities across Australia. This should only be used as this is based on average weights and package is unique.

How does the SwapPoint™ system work?

 

A first of its kind, this simple SwapPoint system allows members to turn their unwanted kids clothing into a valuable SwapPoints™.  which can then be used to select the items you need via the swapkidsclothes.com.au website.

The items you send in will attract either one of the following 2 types of SwapPoints

Preloved SwapPointsTM--- Preloved Symbol           OR             As New with Tag SwapPointsTM --- ANWT Symbol

How many SwapPoints your items attract is based on a sliding scale linked to differences in size and item type (linked to their retail value) Click here to see the SwapPoint Item Values.

Please note: SwapPoints™ are not transferable for cash or postage

Can I use a Preloved SwapPoint™ to select an ANWT item?

No, SwapPoints™ are not transferable across preloved and ANWT items i.e. you cannot use a Preloved SwapPoint™ to select an As New With Tag item.

If I send in a pair of pants, can I only select pants?

No, you can use your points on ANY item of ANY sex of ANY size with your available SwapPoints™.

Will my SwapPoints™ expire?

Your SwapPoints™ will never expire as long as your membership is current.  Simply use your SwapPoints™ as and when you need them, on any item with your available points in your SwapAccount™.

Can I use both of my Preloved and As New With Tag SwapPoints™ in the same order?

Yes, the system cleverly calculates how many of each SwapPoint™ type you have used at checkout.

Can I buy SwapPoints™?

No you can't buy SwapPoints™ and that's why Swapkidsclothes.com.au is unique and offers such value. You have to give to the community in order to receive something from it in return.

Why can’t I see all the Preloved items?

We would love to be able to photograph each individual item but there are simply too many with over 2000 items in stock already!!  Members can be 100% confident the clothes they receive will be in fantastic condition as every single Preloved item in stock has met our stringent clothing condition assurance policy. If you don't believe an item you received meets the stated policy, we will give you your SwapPoints back!

Our Preloved Service is even better than receiving a 'lucky dip' bag of kids clothes from a friend as you can tell us exactly what you need in what size, what you like and don't like, with the added benefit that we guarantee every item you receive will be in fantastic condition!

We regularly update the rolling sample stock images featured on the homepage to give you an accurate indication as to the quality and condition of the clothing available via the Preloved Order Form service.

We will however make every effort to meet your preferences stated in the My Preferences section found in the Preloved Service Quick Order Form. Our aim is to make your wish list of clothes a reality!

How does the ‘my preferences’ section work on the Preloved Quick Order Form?

Once you have selected your items, you can enter your likes/dislikes in the Preferences Section free text field on the Quick Order Form i.e. no yellow or horizontal stripes.  We will then do our best to meet those preferences when selecting from thousands of items in excellent condition. 

How do I know the condition of the Preloved items? 

Clothing Condition Assurance Policy

We pride ourselves on only accepting clothes in excellent condition to pass on to other members in the community, so please don’t send in anything that you wouldn’t have your friends children wear or your own for that matter!  

Our stringent clothing condition assurance process is followed for EVERY item received. This ensures you will only ever receive items that at worst, show the slightest wear with no rips, stains, pilling, tears or missing buttons. 

To protect our members, all clothing accepted must be washed, folded neatly and in excellent & wearable condition.  We do not accept items that have the following:

  • Dirty
  • Pilling
  • Tears
  • Stains
  • Faded
  • Missing buttons
  • Stretched or out of shape
  • Broken zips
  • Velcro, studs, laces not in good working order
  • Where you can’t read the items brand & size tag
  • Only sizes between size 0000 and size 5 inclusive will be accepted at this stage
  • Items with offensive symbols, slogans or pictures will not be accepted
  • We do accept baby wondersuits/romperts etc, however we do not accept kids sleepwear, underwear, socks, shoes, hats &  bibs at this stage
  • No fake or copy brands will be accepted – Genuine brands only.       
  • As New With Tag items MUST have the original tags attached (and the product/brand information on the tag must be visable)

Any items that do not meet the Swapkidsclothes.com.au standard will be donated directly to charity.  If you're unsure about an item you want to send in, please feel free to speak with one of our friendly team members prior to sending the item in. 

What happens to items I send in that do not meet the clothing condition assurance standards?

What is your exchange & returns policy?

Condition of goods - We guarantee it!

If you’re not 100% happy with the condition of the items you receive, please contact one of our friendly team members between 10am-4pm Monday to Friday on 1300 078 578 or email us at info@swapkidsclothes.com.au to discuss the item in question.  We will happily credit your account to the SwapPoint value of the item in question.

Incorrect size

You may return any item in the original condition within seven days of receipt. Once received, you will then have a SwapPoint™ for each item returned credited back to your Account .

Postage charges cannot be refunded.

What sizes do you cater for?

At this stage we accept the following sizes 0000 to size 5.  We plan to increase the size range to size 12 in the coming year based on demand.

What happens with to SwapPoints once my children are size 5+?

As you can swap boys, girls, larger sizes or smaller sizes it means you can contiunue using the service until all your childrens are beyone size 5.  The idea is to use all your SwapPoints before your children grow out of the size range currently available.  We plan to increase the size range to size 12 in the coming year based on demand.

How can I check the status of my order?

You can log in to see your current full previous order history and current order status by going to my account and then clicking on My Order Status and History

How will I know you have received the items I have sent you?

You can log in to your member my account at any time to see the status of your inbound or outbound transactions.   You will see when we have received and processing your items & will be notified via email when your SwapPoints™ have been added to your account.

You can also call the team anytime between 10 – 4pm AEST, Monday to Friday on 1300 078 578.

How will I know that you have received my order?

A confirmation email invoice will be sent to you confirming your order details including order number.

How long does it take?

Sending in your unwanted items

Once items are received, we will have them processed and your SwapPoints™ credited to your account within 3 business days, unless stated otherwise.   Once your items have been accepted, we will immediately credit your SwapPoints™ to your account and send you and email notification to advise that you’re ready to swap!

Outbound Orders

Once your order is received, we will have your order dispatched within 3 business days, unless stated otherwise.

How long will it take for me to receive my order once dispatched?

It will take Australia post 3-5 days to deliver your items from our Brisbane facility to metropolitan areas within Australian capital cities.

Allow up to 7 days for regional locations.

Do you deliver outside Australia?

No, at this stage swapkidsclothes.com.au is focused on delivering the best service possible to Australian based mums. 

What happens if my package is lost in the post?

Unfortunately in the rare event Australia Post misplaces your package swapkidsclothes.com.au cannot be held responsible.  We recommend you use the Registered Post option available from Australia Post.  We have also made this option available to members at check out for an additional $2.95.

How do you accept payment?

We accept PayPal and Visa or Mastercard via our Secure Socket Layering (SSL) payment gateway with 128 bit encryption, ensuring the highest possible level of security to you.

Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?

Swapkidsclothes.com.au uses SecurePay which allows online payment by Mastercard or Visa. SecurePay utilises Secure Socket Layering (SSL) with 128 bit encryption, ensuring the highest possible level of security to you. SecurePay is a third party processing service which is linked to our ANZ Bank merchant account and we never view, nor can we store, your financial details.

Is my personal information protected?

Yes, we only collect your personal information for various purposes, such as processing your order, corresponding with you, providing you with a newsletter (upon subscription only).

We may contact you from time to time for member satisfaction surveys or in connection with certain transactions.

We DO NOT share your personal information with any other organisation or persons.
